Kids Irish Dance Classes
Looking for something new for the kids to join after the long lock down inside! Burn off some energy and learn how to Irish dance!
Beginner Irish Dance classes for children are 45 minutes long and are recommended for children 5 years - 11 years.
All dancers work towards learning their first dance; the single reel. We use unique games, fun exercises and activities to learn the basic technique of Irish Dance. It's also a fantastic way to get fit and make new friends.

- 4:30pm - 5:15pm - Beginners 5 years +
- MONDAYS: GREAT SOUTH DANCE ACADEMY, 12 Porchester Road, Papakura
- 5:15pm - 6:00pm - Beginners 5 years +
- WEDNESDAYS: DOYLE ACADEMY STUDIOS, 9/41 Sir William Ave, East Tamaki
- 4:15pm - 5:00pm - Beginners 5 years +
- SATURDAYS: DOYLE ACADEMY STUDIOS, 9/41 Sir William Ave, East Tamaki
- 9:00am - 9:45am - Beginners 5 years +
Dancers will learn:
- The basics of Irish dance
- Develop an understanding of Irish Dance technique
- Working towards learning the steps of a Single Reel
- Co-ordination & balance
- Listening & social skills
- All dancers work through the Doyle Academy, TIDA of NZ and An Comisium Le Rinci Gaelacha syllabus.
Costs:
- Per term $150 (includes GST)
- First lesson is free.
- After your first lesson, dancers must register to confirm placement in class along with payment for the reminder of the term.
- Pro rata may be applied if joining part way through a term.
- Registration is $50 per dancer and includes a Doyle Academy T-shirt and beginners pack.
